Graphic Installation “How I Spent My Summer’'
The installation is based on a parallel with the familiar school essay “How I Spent My Summer” (a tradition in Ukrainian education and in other countries), but instead of childhood memories, it is Ukraine’s account of its summer under russia’s massive attacks. I collect dry statistics from the Ukrainian Air Force and transform them into an artistic process: on a white roll of paper, the silhouettes of drones and missiles are hand-printed in numbers corresponding to the daily strikes, preserving their outlines.
This meditative, monotonous process connects bare numbers with bodily experience, exposes inner emotions, and turns statistics into material testimony.
The installation is a work in progress: I strongly wish to involve people in its creation, so they become witnesses not only through quickly scrolling news on their smartphones but by directly experiencing the act of “witnessing.” Thus, the work evolves in parallel with the news: each day new imprints are added, serving as a reminder of the endless threat for Ukrainians, for whom summer meant not peace but constant strikes accompanied by illusory conversations about “peace.”

Графічна інсталяція “Як я провела літо’'
Інсталяція базується на паралелі з добре відомим шкільним твором «Як я провів(ла) своє літо» (традиція в українській освіті та в інших країнах), але замість дитячих спогадів — це розповідь України про своє літо під масованими атаками росії. Я збираю суху статистику Повітряних сил оборони України й перетворюю її на художній процес: на білому рулоні паперу силуети дронів і ракет вручну відбиті в кількостях, що відповідають щоденним ударам, зберігаючи їхні контури.
Цей медитативний, монотонний процес поєднує голі цифри з тілесним досвідом, оголює внутрішні емоції та перетворює статистику на матеріальне свідчення.
Цей проєкт триває: я дуже прагну залучати людей до його створення, аби вони ставали свідками не лише через швидке гортання новин у смартфонах, а й безпосередньо через переживання акту «свідчення». Отож, робота розвивається паралельно з новинами: щодня додаються нові відбитки, нагадуючи про нескінченну загрозу для українців, для яких літо означало не спокій, а постійні удари під акомпанемент ілюзорних розмов про «мир».
Те, що я продемонструвала в арт просторі «Платформ» (Вааса, Фінляндія) у вересні-жовтні 2025 року, лише один день літа, і навіть він був не наймасовішим нападом…
