The idea of work appeared in March, before leaving Ukraine. But before leaving, this idea was an abstraction, and only after that it gained real meaning and gained personalization, becoming a self-portrait.

About me.
Olena Solomenchuk was born May 30 1981 in the city of Zaporozhye, Ukraine. She grew up, studied and worked in the city of Odesa. In the near and at the same time distant past, she was a contemporary Odesa artist. At the end of June 2022, she left for Switzerland. Now she lives off welfare payments and looks longingly at the windows of the Lausanne galleries.
